This is a fun CD. Something to hear in a club to crack a smile. A compilation of various darkfloor bands playing you favorite past tv songs. Each song is short and sweet.



Clan of Xymox - Hidden Faces
Tess Records - 13 trk CD
Definately something interesting from a band which has resurrected from the 80's. This Cd has variety to it. At times it is gothy, dark, ethereal and electro poppy in sound. A strong Cd with a great potetial.



Numb - Blood Meridian
Metropolis - 10 trk CD
Angry screaming vocals which are sometimes a little too much. Heavy electronic beats a little more technoy for Numb anyway. Very hard fast and aggressive. Definately a good Cd to get. I would say that this is probably one of Numb's most powerful CD's to date.



Doubting Thomas - Father Don't Cry
Metropolis - 8 trk CD
Re issue of cEvin Key, DR Goettel, and David Ogilvie project. This CD now in a Digipack was originally issued a few years ago. Former members of Skinny Puppy. This CD has a little ambient influence to it with great keyboard sounds and samples. Not a dancefloor style of music, moreso something closer to Download.

This CD contains remixes of In Stict Conifidence. Very harsh haunting vocals and sounds. Based on the import from Zoth, with extras. The Depeche Mode cover of Stripped is on it as well.

Gothy style male vocal with soothing sounds. A slowed down early Rosetta Stone style sound. Dark voice with good sounds. A good sound throughout the whole Cd. There is a little variety but overall the Cd is cosistent to a particular sound and mood.



Cure - Galore
Warner Music - 18 trk CD
This Cd is a compilation of all the Cure singles from the last ten years. There is one new song called "Wrong Number" which is pretty good. The Cd is the acceptable pop side of the Cure which will sell to all. It is the filtered version of what the Cure are. Commercially acceptable and user friendly. Still a Cd to get especially if you don't have any of the last 5 Cd's.

Independent - 14 trk CD
This Cd is a mix of independent artist put together from Jester, not us, another guy named Jester. Regardless, this comp consist of electro pop to industrial. The comp is more poppy then anything.



Digital Wings 1 - Various
Independent - 13 trk CD
This Cd consist of all the bands who are users of the Cyberden Web Site. Limited to 1000 pressings. Electronic music, most of it in the darker half of sound. Contains Xorsist, Gridlock, Scar Tissue, Insight 23, and more. A cool comp



Index - Faith In Motion
Cop Intl - 14 trk CD
Index shows their versatile music ability. This one is a little harder then their other stuff. Still they show their strong point which is melody. Index have again put out a quality CD with variety and unique elegance mixed with agression.



Pulse Legion - Evolve
Cop International - 11 trk CD
Slow darkfloor music. This electronic sound is nothing heavy tempo wise. The focus is on the vocals. Overall the Cd lacks variety. Though the Cd cosist of very good male vocals, the best track is Maelstroem featuring guest vocals by Amanda Jones. This one particular song is hypnotically haunting, as well as elegantly beautiful. I'd get the Cd for even this one song.



Idiot Stare - The Hate Cage

Growling aggressive vocals with a fast pace. This Cd lacks a little production. Some really good uses of samples. A touch of guitar sounds to add to the sound. As well some entertaining phone messages in between songs,



Joy Electric - Robot Rock
Tooth and Nail - 10 trk CD
This is a type of music which I have nothing really to compare to. Joy Electric sound like a cheesy 80's band with Casio players. Happy and Sighing music. Very pop like and minimal. They are pretty basic, very joyous. The name of this band is self explainiory. Good fun.



Gridlock - The Sythetic Form
Pendragon Records - 18 trk CD
Something dark, something scary, something haunting, something new and original. Gridlock are a dark naturerd sound with an atmosphere to follow them. Sounds like Haujobb Wumpscut side project. One of the best sounding Cd's this year.
