Gary Numan - Exile

A dark Cd with minimanal yet layered instruments. Brings out a meloncholy, hypnotic, seductive mood. Filled with great imagery and feeling. Very entracining, more darkwave style, slow and depressing. A great Cd other then a lot sounds the same.



Spahn Ranch - Retort ep 10
Cleopatra Records - 10 trk CD
remixes of the last Cd. More techo oriented. Sounds very cool and there are interesting interpetations which work really well. Mixes vary from song to song which opens a lot of variety.



Cybershadow - Social Conditioning
Flaming Fish Records - 8 trk CDS
EBM with distorted vocals. Contains 5 remixes of the title track and 3 extra tracks. Most tracks are very typical, they lack in some way but it still isn't too bad. Of the extra tracks 2 are more on the ambient, mellow side. On the whole the CD is ok but not exceptional.



Mono - Life in Mono CDS
Polygram - 6 trk CDs
You know this song as it is currently being used on the Great Expectations trailer and movie. The song is actually very well done. Ther are 6 versions on the CDS including an instrumental and Trip hop version. The CD is pretty good as it blends in elements of classical and drum and base with trip hop and the mix is well done.



Mono - Formica Blues
Polygram - 11 trk CD
In comparison to the single this is a surprise. this is one of those albums where the single sounds nothing like the rest. There is not enough consistency to the CD. Songs vary from trip hop, lounge, to soul. Can't say that this was a great surprise. Better to just get the single.

A tribute to the Mission. This CD contains different covers from all kinds of bands. Electronic to goth to industrial. Some covers are redundent and are almost like the original but there are some unique covers. Bands like the Shroud, Christ Analogue, Ex-Voto, Society Burning are just some of the bands which have contributed.

9 tracks of sure beauty release as a side project of Maria Azevedo from Battery. this CD is based around the theme of winter. It contains strong elegant vocals with world influences and ethereal atmosphere. This CD is not something for a dancefloor, it is unique and stunning. Definately one to pick up for your spirit



Imbue- Resurrected
Cop International - 11 trk CD
Interesting Cd which combines guitar with alternative rock with trip hop. There is a lot of guitar present and the vocals are powerful. It lacks the dreamy aspect of trip hop due to these factors. It is a strong Cd in terms of its impact.



Luxt - Limited Advance Mix Cd

6 traacks of awesome mixes. This is Luxt like you never heard them before. the full length should be something definately to look out for. Very heavy, powerful and danceable. Should do very well i\on the dancefloor



Soundtrack - Dark City
TVT Records - 14 trk CD
The first 6 tracks are artists the rest is score music. The artist are ok. Echo and the Bunnymen and more notably new material from Gary Numan. The score material is very gloomy and dark...of course, composed by Trever Jones.
