July Reviews
Newt - Phaseshifting
Quantum Loop Records - 7 track CD
Minimal electronic remixed CD from Daniel Myer of Haujobb. Heavy in sound
with good rythmic deep patterns. Pacelike beats with overlapping extras.
Far more intelligent remixed tracks compared to the originals.

Various - Electropolis Volume I
Metropolis Records - 14 track CD
Awesome compilation of the latest bands on Metropolis. The cd contains some
exclusive tracks as well. Definatly something to pick up. especially if
one does not have a lot of new acts.

Ikon - This Quiet Earth
Metropolis Records - 9 track CD
Pop goth oriented style from the band Ikon. Vocals often compared to those
of Ian Curtis of Joy Division. This Cd seems to have a lot more to it then
their other releases. Nore melodic and flowing.

Ringtailed Snorter - Look Back in The Mirror CD
COP INternational - 13 track CD
Side project of X Marks the Pedwalk. Pretty basic minimal idustrial
electronic style musci. Purely digital in sound but more on a mellow side.
Nothing too heavy or aggressive. Still a good sound just mellower and
basic

Various - Hymns Of The Worlock
Cleopatra Records - 13 track CD
Tribute to Skinny Puppy. This CD contains interrpetations of one of the
lords of electronic experimantal music. Overall the Cd is pretty good.
Some covers are definitly not worth the time but many other do very well.
Overall the CD has a half and half way about it where there are half good
songs and half bad covers. But the task of covering a Skinny Puppy song is
arisky thing to do on its own

Arteffakto - Interuptor CD
Opcion Sonica - 9 track CD
This CD is not a bad sounding pop industrial piece. From Mexico comes this
band who are primarily digital in sound with a good overall presentation.
Nothing spectacular though there is potential with a bit more production
