July Reviews
God's Girlfriend - Whore Damage
Tinman - 12 trk CD
Well here's an interesting release to say the least. The artwork is pretty
much filled with raw ranchy sex images. As for the music, it is pretty
bland. Low production, and lots of distortion. Can't really see this being
the next big thing or anything really too close to that. At the same time I
don't think that's what they are going for. The sound is very raw and after
a bit monotonous.

The Aggression - The Aggression
Tinman - 10 trk CD
Possibly a good band to lookk for but they seem to lack certain equipment.
The sound is not of the best. Lots of rock like guitars and roll like
drums. Some electronics, few samples, but nothing extrodinary. A little
slow at times. Vocals are probably the only half redeemable quality.

Various - Industrial Mix Machine
Cleopatra - 24 trk 2CD
This compilation contains a mixture of bands remixing other bands. All
Artist are pretty big such as Spahn Ranch, FLA, Project Pitchfork, Lights of
Euphoria, plus much more. If you don't have much industrial music and are
looking for a good comp. This is the one. If not there are five exclusive
remixes which are only on this comp.

Noisebox - The Bigginning
Cleopatra
This CD varies from song to song, not so much in vocals or sounds but in
mood and style. Vocals sound painful and the electronics sometimes can be a
little dull. Most songs contain melodies which add variety. There is a rap
type of song and a couple of slower type songs. Overall the Cd on the
whole is alright, just above average.

Fishtank [No. 9] - Itself
Cop International - 11 trk CD
More of an "industrial pop rock" sound as oppose to "industrial" Not
terribly impressed for a heavy electronic sound. Vocals are without
distortion and carry on very well. Not something I would cater to a club
but a few tracks are enjoyable.

Urania - Aquarius
Cop International - 6 trk CDS
Very cool. The song "Initiation" is simply amazing. Unique electronic
industrial sounds. The CD is a sort of combination, including some really
hard and heavy songs and more mellower ones. The cover of Aquarius, is
interesting. Not huge on the idea, didn't really like the original to begin
with. The Production is fantastic, It is done by George Hagegeorge.

Terminal Sect - Bread and Wine for the Dirt
Metropolis - 12 trk CD
This one reminds me of Skinny Puppy's very early years. Screaching modified
vocals. The CD lacks a little. Waiting for a heavier sounding beat.
Unfortuneately, Not fully satisfied.

Crocodile Shop - Pain
Metropolis - 13 trk CD
Lots of digital sounds throughout the whole Cd which captivates interest.
Vocals work really well sometimes, at others they are a little annoying and
to monotonous. Overall a pretty satisfactory CD.

Ikon - Flowers For the Gathering
Metropolis - 11 trk CD
More on the gothy side. Depressing vocals. Kinda like a 90's Joy Division
sound. Very relaxing layered sounds on some songs which work very well.
Not too much variety.

Funker Vogt - Thanks For Nothing
Metropolis - 10 trk CD
WOW!! This could have been the next Frontline Assembly CD. This is one
will be big very soon. A must get for all those into heavier industrial
dance music. Amazing sequencing, percussions, and backdropping melodies.
